These are currently:
- Trade Marks World Law & Practice: Volumes 1, 2 & 3: Sweet & Maxwell;
- The Trade Mark Handbook (UK Law & Practice) – CIPA/ITMA: Volumes A & B: Sweet & Maxwell;
- The Community Trade Mark Handbook – CIPA/ITMA: Volumes 1 & 2: Sweet & Maxwell;
- Manual of Industrial Property (the Dutch Manual);
- Melville’s Forms & Agreements (Precedents).
Since these publications are of no value if they are not kept properly up to date, it is important that we ensure that:
- updates are received in accordance with the publisher’s schedule;
- the updates are promptly applied when received;
- the updates are applied accurately, in accordance with the guide accompanying the update;
- The person perfoming the update checks the update and signs the guide sheet to confirm its correct application. The signed guide sheet should be put into the binder for future reference.
The person currently responsible for looseleaf handbooks and their updating is Sue.
