Reporting an Official Search Report to a Client After the Search Report is received, make sure that it is saved on the case file in Equinox and that any citations are downloaded from espacenet and saved to the file. Set a Task for the responsible attorney, who should use the appropriate template to create the reporting letter/e-mail.
There are different templates which should be selected depending on the nature of the Search Report:
- UKPB30 – for when there are Category X or Y citations;
- UKPB31 – as UKPB30, but with an objection of plurality of invention;
- UKPB32 – for when the only citations are in Category A – i.e. technological background;
- UKPB34 – for when there are no citations;
- UKPB38 – for reporting a Combined Search and Examination Report with XY citations;
Reporting an Offical Search Report to an overseas Associate
Different reporting letters are provided, as follows:
- UKPB36 – for when there are Category X or Y citations
- UKPB37 – for reporting a Combined Search and Examination Report with XY citations
Make sure that any due date is entered as Task in Equinox.
