Some clients wish us to maintain watches for conflicting trademark applications. This may not be necessary if the client has a UK registration and wants to watch the UK for conflicts, but some clients want a wider watch to be carried out.
Where a report has been set up, we will get an e-mail from CompuMark containing a link to the Watch Notices. These are currently sent to Keith, but a rule in Outlook forwards them to Kate.
This is the procedure for dealing with them:
- Download the Watch Notice and save it to the Z file, marking it “received” to enable you to forward it;
- Generate an e-mail to the contact on the file using template Trademark Watching Service – Report – note that this will not be grouped with the Trademark templates, but with the Search ones.
- Attach the Watch Notice and send.
